<p>The website standard.no is owned and operated by the organisations Standards Norway, org. no. NO 985 942 897, the Norwegian Electrotechnical Committee (NEK) org. no. NO 955 221 567 and Standard Online AS, org. no. NO 983 615 031 (hereinafter called "the Organisations" and referred to as "we"), and is a shared portal for making available the Organisations' goods and services.</p>
Acceptance of terms

The Organisations retain all rights to this website and the contents published here. Content, designs and data on the website are protected pursuant to the Copyright Act and other legislation. Rights to all product and company names, logos and trademarks on the website are owned by the enterprises which own the website. Content may not be altered, reproduced, published, distributed or in other respects used for public or commercial purposes without permission. Contact us to obtain such permission.
Responsibility for website content
The individual organisation is responsible for the content it publishes on the website. We assume no responsibility for inaccuracies and omissions in that content or for its being updated at any given time. We may partially or completely alter or remove content at any time.
Any decision you take as a consequence of the content is at your own risk. The Organisations cannot guarantee that the website does not contain viruses or other harmful elements.
No registration for anonymous visits
If you visit standard.no, no data will be registered concerning you unless you yourself actively enter such data. For visits our web servers will only register your IP address to be able to count the number of visits, average time per visit, which pages are visited and the like. We use these statistics to analyse the use of the website and improve the quality of the content.
Registration of data concerning you
In instances when you wish to shop in the webshop, enrol yourself/your enterprise in one of the Organisations, sign up for courses, Participate when standards are up for enquiry, and/or wish to receive a newsletter, we will ask you to register personal data so that we can provide you with the necessary follow-up service.
Communication with you
Depending on the purpose of registering data concerning you, we will send you information related to this purpose. The Organisations own the information that is registered via the website and wish to be able to send you newsletters, information regarding changes on the website and to our products, user surveys orother important notices. If you wish to receive such communications, you must give your consent to this when you register. When you shop in our webshop we also send you an e-mail containing an order confirmation.
Personal data submitted to standard.no
At standard.no we treat personal data in accordance with the requirements in the Personal Data Act.
Personal data will not be registered until you submit your order or give your consent to registration. When you shop in our webshop we will ask for the mandatory information pursuant to the requirements of Norwegian law and necessary for us to be able to meet our obligations to you. The system registers such data as your name, address, alternative dispatching address, what your order consists of and the fact that you have confirmed that you have read and approved the Sales Conditions.
You have the right of access to your own personal data.
Data on shopping in the webshop, including personal data, will be kept for ten years pursuant to the requirements of the Bookkeeping Act and your name and address will be added to our customer register.
If you want personal data concerning you to be corrected or deleted from our files, you may contact us to request correction or deletion. If you have registered as a customer in the webshop and wish to know what personal data we have stored concerning you, you can log in to "My page". You may make some changes there, concerning other matters, you may contact us. We will not store more data concerning you than what is necessary for your relationship with us as a customer and our compliance with accounting legislation and will not use the data for purposes other than fulfilling our obligations to you as a customer.
When we ask you to register personal data, we will not use it for any purpose other than the one you consent to when you register the data. Before you give your consent, you are to be informed as to what the data is to be used for (matters relating to the webshop, enrolment, courses, enquiry, newsletters, etc.) and by whom (which Organisation or Organisations).
Any sharing of personal data with other parties will take place within the requirements of the law and only with those parties who perform services for us such as data processors, e.g. in connection with electronic payment systems. Such access is granted only where necessary, and not for any purpose other than to provide you with the service agreed to.
In addition, we may disclose personal data if we are directed to do so pursuant to law or a court order.
Moreover, we have the right to transfer our customer database, including personal data, to a third party that wholly or in part takes over our operations in an acquisition or partial transfer.
As a service to users standard.no contains links to other websites that contain relevant sources of information. Standard.no does its best to link to bona fide websites. Standard.no disclaims all responsibility for the content of websites linked to or products and services sold there, including any infringements of personal data legislation or other violations of Norwegian law.
Standard.no utilises "cookies". A cookie is a small text file that is saved on your hard disk by the website you visit. The file contains information and is used, for example, to assist you as a user and for statistical purposes. It poses no risk to you and enables us to provide you with a service that works in the best possible way. In most browsers the function can be switched off by using a menu selection such as "settings", "security" or similar. However, this will have consequences for the use of the website in general and the webshop in particular. For example, you will not be able to search for products and articles and log in, and products will not remain in your shopping cart.
